Hey Guys,
I am wondering when I run the risk that Twitter blocks my account because I tweet to too many people directly. I was thinking about creating a bot that tweets automatically to 500 or 1,000 people per day. I would tweet to them offers and interest links that are relevant to whom they are following. I could make sure that each message is unique since I can create the tweets quickly manually in Excel.
Has anyone else experience with this direct tweeting strategy?

Thanks

Pixxel

Hey, I would not dm users, but I will write something like
"Tweet handle, I saw you follow LondonPride! I think you will love this link"

So I am not DM people, but use the tweet to feature

Well I made a bot with their API that listened for keywords and offered products/services to them and the account got suspended after 3 days. So I think it just depends how many people mark you as spam

it depends on your volume of tweets. You can have a suspension as fast as 1 hr to 7 days :)

Advice: Be Slow and raise the number of tweets with 50 per day

Why not spread that out over a few accounts with lower volume per account, and each one tweeting and retweeting a bunch of other stuff to mix it up?

Thanks for the advice! I think I will follow that advice and change my strategy, so that I have more accounts that tweet only 100 tweets and not one that tweets all the time.

Just be aware that using over 5 accts per IP could lead to the IP being banned by TW... so you'll need proxies if doing more than that.
