when is googles next PR update?

ok guys, my website is 400,000 on alexa,

I have 1200+backlinks (alot from high authority sites with good pr )
and my site is just over a month old.

BUT

my sites PR is still 0.

anyone know when googles next PR update is?

im getting nervous...

im on page 5 for my keyword,

and I looked at my competition who are on page 1

and they have 1/3 the amount of l!nks I have at best.. whats happening lol

your links are not enough keyword optimized...a link is of no use if its tag is not ur targeted keyword

Google updates it's PR constantly. It doesn't do it monthly or quarterly like people think, they just make the data publicly available every few months and this then appears as an update.

Exactly, well I think the last one was early June, although it was unexpected, therefore I'd expect an update late August.

Screw PR.

it's rankings that matter as this ultimately equals sales. I have seen many low pr sites outrank high PR ones simply because they are better optimised.

PR - although still serving a few purposes - is no longer a good tool for measuring how well you will rank.

Still amazes me that people are that obsessed with getting a high PR when their site is nowhere to be found for their desired terms.

Perhaps they are working on getting some high PR sites to use for backlinks for their "real" money sites?
