When google adsense is really worth it

Hi guys,


Have you already gained experience with google adsense? I would be interested to know if the Google Revenue Calculator is accurate.

Background:
I have a site with about 50,000 visitors per month.
I don't like to bother my users with ads for a little bit of small money. According to Google's calculator, that would be under $3000 a year. Which is an absolute joke when calculated down.

I currently monetize my site through an online store, but most of the traffic comes from my blog. Now I wonder if I could supplement my blog with something without annoying my customers.

Probably I will install Google Adsense just to see if really so little of it comes in. Bzw. how many people will jump off by it.

What is your opinion on this? Is the traffic still too low to make a big deal out of it, or do you think it's outrageous to think about something like this, even though I'm already making good income from the products I'm selling?

Well, if your niche is really hich CPC, then go for it. THat's the only pro i see to join adsense.

If your niche is low cpc, then just stick to ezoic and others
 
Well i really dont know. My first instinct was of course put adsense code on the blog and earn some more dollars. But on a second thought my mind says what if Google serves ads to another ecom store on your blog and your customers end up going there from your blog to buy instead of going to your own store

Estimated traffic Value (Ahrefs) for 50.000 traffic / mo = 30.000$.

Thought Google wasn't trying to poach customers. o_O
 
If you think $3k/year is miniscule amount, then avoid ads. But if you think you need it, then place the ads for a month and check it. The traffic will obviously go to your competitors as that's the whole point of ads. If no one clicks on ads and visits other sites, you won't get paid. You should only place ads if you're ok with it.
 
If you have 50k hits/month, go to Mediavine, and thank me later.

Think of it as a diversified income, and the chance to capitalize on buyers that are tire klickers.
 
Rather collect their emails and sell them stuff from your shop.
 
The first thing you need to do is to calculate the net profit generated from the traffic you got coming from the blog to your store. This is the "risk". Compare it to the "reward", which is, in this case $3k and see if it worth testing.
 
My own niche is about motorcycle gears and news, and I get 2.5k us visits per day, though not very stable, coz most visits come from discover, and for Adsense, after a couple of months now it's around $10 per day... most of the time it's 7 to 8, it could be 12 and more when visits get 3000 and above on that day... so I suggest write some affiliate article or lead your traffic to your own store if u want to monetize your site...

very interesting idea and i have the same issue, the solution is that you can actually go to adsense account and block the ads category that you don't want

That calculation is right on spot. for 50K per month you can get around 250$ per month.
