When do I start getting views on TikTok?

So I've been reading a lot of peoples posts here today and decided to bite the bullet and make a tiktok. I made my account around a game that has a massive community around it and is largely popular. For the first few hours I just followed and liked a couple of videos in my niche. After about 8 hours or so I uploaded my first video with 3 relevant hashtags. Unfortunately, it only has 3 views.

I was expecting to get at least a couple of hundred going by what people have commented here as that seems to be the general trend. Do I just need to keep uploading and eventually I get placed on people's feeds or what way does it work? It's my first time actually using TikTok so im really unsure.

I'd appreciate peoples input on what I should do, Thanks!

Hey, I too have recently joined tiktok and literally everything I upload goes viral. I have zero clue how tiktok algo works, but now it seems completely random. I tried creating a second account on another device and that account only gets few views per video.

I tried once tiktok , uploaded a cute cat video and it got a lot of views. Idk if it was the tags or something else

I dont really know what happened, but I am slowly starting to get view now. A video I uploaded yesterday has over 6000 views and is still increasing. I have been replying to every comment I get and encouraging people to comment with captions and video titles. I think that might be helping. Another thing I am testing with is making sure I add a title within tiktok and a music track too as opposed to adding them in my editing software. I dont know if it's making any difference but I am getting decent results now. I just hope it keeps increasing.

You should continue to upload videos, because tiktok is used by many people now, but you should think about what your content value is and who your audience is
