When do blogs become profitable?

Hello guys,
I plan to set up two blogs and then monetize them with Affiliate and Adsense.
I will also create social media accounts for the two blogs, etc. Does anyone have experience of how many months it takes for blogs to become profitable? And should I monetize from the start or wait until I have 10k visitors a month, for example?

No fixed time. Different strategies will give different result. If you are focussed on less project, you can do in one month also.
 
Depends on what does profitable mean to you. You go for social traffic push and you consider a few bucks profit and you can do it by next week.
 
As soon as you can drive traffic, you should be able to make money...
 
Not so easy to guess. It also depends a lot on your way of monetization. Ie, ads will start generating profit easier, but it will also be less profitable probably. Just focus on statistics and gaining an audience, not the monetization.

If monetization won't impact your site's performance negatively at all, then monetize from the start.

No one can tell you for sure, depending on what niche you are targeting, how big is the audience that you are directing your blogs, and so on. But, it would definitely be better if you could wait to have more monthly users, as you will become more appealing to different affiliate networks then and you will probably get more clicks on offers that you place.
 
Pick the right niche and invest 70% of what you got into keyword research, and you'll be good to go.

Don't start with "best x product" or "x product review" articles. Publish only how-tos, guides, and question answering articles until you hit solid 200-300 daily visitors. You'll thank me later.

By profitable, I guess you mean when the site earnings will cover its expenses. That depends on your niche, as others said. But be ready to work without earning a penny for at least six months.

True , site needs an audience or popularity in the beginning .Once the site has good content,tends to gain followers and the traffic automatically gets increasing with time.Just need a bit of patience

Do you really need a niche? I like to talk about different things. Trading, investing, health, philosophy. I hope I'm not too broad.
 
It depends on what strategies you use.
If you are using paid traffic, results are pretty fast.
There are also free traffic methods, it depends on your niche and target audience etc.
You can collaborate with other website owners to link you and can provide anything that they need like content etc. Though most of them sell content links, still if you can provide good content, you can get a few links that will help in terms of SEO and traffic as well.
Concentrate on getting traffic first, then you can slowly optimize, test, optimize, so on... it is an ongoing process.
 
You always get out what you put in. That's the strong foundation you need for anything you do. I've seen people turn a fresh domain into a 4 digit earner in only 3 months. I've seen websites take years to finally make anything worthwhile. It all depends on your skill level, your work ethic, your niche and a pinch of luck.
 
A blog can become profitable even from day 1 : It depends on strategies. I have run brand new review blogs in Google Ads and profited from day 1.
Different strategies will give different results in different time frames.
 
I remember having a super targeted niche blog and was making about $50 a month with less than 10 visitors a day. They were amazon affiliate links
