Hey BHW,

I first started IM when I was about 13, and I'm now almost 16. I'm curious to know when some of you got into this!

Also, what got you interested? For me, it's my dad and a general love for computers and the Internet in a business way.

Before it was IM, I used to SPAM :) like porn spamming :) Made a killing in the 90s and then it all died out :(

I first got into Internet marketing 7 years ago when I promoted a referral link for a get-paid-to (GPT) site on "Yahoo! Answers" questions. However, due to a mold illness, I was unable to continue my endeavours both online and offline with my unofficial electronic repair businesses at the time. When I recovered 2 1/2 years ago, I decided to give Internet marketing another go.

As for what got me interested, I initially just wanted to have extra money, but this later evolved into offering genuine and reasonably priced services to small business owners.

It's funny because I didn't plan on owning a business; I wanted to go to a vet school, although I can do that any time (what's great is that I can use the income from my business for it as well).

Like infoasian, I'm longer into IM than most of the people registered on BHW.
 
Mate, I can see you enough interest about internet marketing. Of course, you have joined a better community. Actually internet marketing is a broad topic. Please let me know bout your interested area. Then it'll be easy for me to suggest you. You have started about 13 years old and now you are 16 years old that means already you learned more about a specific topic.
I also have enough interest about internet marketing. I'm doing these job for few years. I'm an amazon affiliate but I know about other sections of internet marketing like as: Tumblr, twitter, reddit, fb etc..
If you wanted to know about these topic you can present your question. I'll try to help you much...

I'm primarily interested in social media marketing and video marketing. I've been making videos since I was 12 and just got into Instagram marketing.
 
I was 17 when I came across BHW and IM, but it took me 5 years to take any action :D

18 - writing articles for backlinks (didn't know what were those back then)
 
Dabbling in IM for about 3 years, then started to get serious 2 years ago. I'm mostly whitehat these days.
