When creating an optimized post& you should only target keywords?

What I mean Is:

My post is about losing weight through mediation let's say.

Now I have all the sections h2's blah blah blah all organized faq and all the other necessities

Can I add anecdotes to the content, or personal stories? Does it affect SEO or should I solely focus on the keywords that needs to be optimized and se'tu.
