The domain will go to Pending Delete mode.
Then it goes to pending delete, scheduled for release.
Then the domain gets available for public.
It depends on TLDs and registrars.

Try find a .in domain backorder service to get it as soon as it drop in case others will grab it before you. Or if you think the domain is "shit" no one else will want it, you can wait until it is available again at your preferred .in registrar like Godaddy, namecheap, etc.
 
Use a domainbackorder , or you wait to expire and will definetly find on godaddy with a higher price for sale.
