Note: Not gonna discuss how I was working with insurance/solar companies/networks, so mods, be peaceful :)

So, when a company is playing dirty, should/would you play back at them?

Obviously, not talking about doing anything illegal, but wondering what you guys would do.

Personally, if someone or some company plays shady games with me, I always get back to them and profit in the way.

NOTE! I'm not breaking any rule with this thread!

@royserpa you know that at the end of the day, advertiser will come to realize that the leads do not convert and pull the plug right? Whether the advertiser or networks does any shady dealing, you have a CHOICE to decide if you want to work with them. By cheating advertiser, you put yourself at the mercy of non payment or non sustainable business model.

I am not in the position to point the rights or wrongs in this case but remember you have a CHOICE here. If you think that advertiser/network is cheating you, change your business model to dropshipping or a pure survey Company. At the end of the day why focus on something that you cannot control rather than focusing on something that is within your means of control?

I never favor cheating advertiser as a form of revenge.Simply because advertiser will stop paying the moment they begin to lose money. Tell me, which business will pay for advertising if they cannot turn a profit?
 
cheating and playing dirty games is bad for business. It is much better you pay them in there own coin but these time around x number of times

Yes I fully understand your frustration in this case. However we cannot stop/ control how others behave in a business. In your case, since you know that 40% of your leads are shaved, negotiate for a higher rate to cover for the 40% loss. If you are sending leads that converts, advertiser will be willing to pay you the increase rate.

This is how I approach one of the CPA Company that I work with. I usually spent about 2 weeks to send large volume of traffic and leads, so this get my affiliate manager addicted. Then I suddenly stop all traffics. I do not contact my affiliate manager about this until he contacts me and ask why leads are disappearing. Then I will complain that conversion rates are low and non profitable. So I am stopping all campaigns with that network. By now, the affiliate manager will do all that is possible to get me to resume the traffic as his jobs depend upon quality of leads that publisher brings in. I have successfully negotiated for an increase of 65% on rates as a result of using this approach which makes up for any shaving done.

I have no idea why you summoned I "the mother fucking God Of Seo" here. However, I have noticed recently that work "may" (fucking most definitely likely) has not been done. To the tune of 2k or so, by a respected member? Now what I need to keep in mind is, is this 2k worth a negative attack / outing my websites. And when I weigh it up, no matter how fucked off I am, my common sense tells me to leave it.
 
I would probably find a new company to work with and just get over it... but you know

I don't get you Roy at all. First, you had some issue with another member this week and now this. I think its best you keep that stuff to the people your directing it to instead of throwing a sh#t fit and trying to put up polls looking for backers. I don't buy your B.S and your threads have become more attention seeking then anything productive.

Take some time away from the computer and don't worry about what others think or say about you. Your best bet is to close this thread, but you seem to like to stir things up.
