I don’t think BTC can really crash without some big global long-lasting negative crypto-related event, for example:
- Getting banned by most countries for whatever reason.
- There is some kind of security vulnerability discovered.
- A new alternative comes along (doesn’t seem likely any time soon) that will cause people to jump ship.

Historically, when poor people start discussing investments, that’s a good sign a big market correction is incoming. Problem with the current situation is that we just had a big downturn in March 2020 already, followed by the biggest money printing ever. That GME story and the FOMO that followed also introduced a whole new generation of uneducated investors to investing. I pray for recession as well to reenter some positions, but there won’t be any recession any time soon. We’ll just have inflation eat away at our fiat.
Also, what “saved” money?
Hand to mouth FTW, and if it doesn’t work out, running to 1st world about-to-go-bankrupt welfare state.

Well sure, but some people are under impression they’ll get to buy BTC for 10%-20% of the current price some time “soon”, if they time it / chase it right. I just don’t see that happening, possibly ever, not unless crypto gets a kiss of death.

I know. But somehow I appreciate the planning or the wishful thinking. After all what will happen for sure in the future no one can. We can play with probabilities.
However, many of us seem to forget simple rules like 'buy low - sell high'. And we usually seem to do the wrong choices because we are either scared or pumped up.
If you ask me I will take into serious consideration if buying bitcoin is a good choice if it ever reaches 10-20% of its current value in the following 2-3 years.
Because although the price would be attractive, I would want to look at many other things related to bitcoin and crypto in general.

The criticism makes no sense, did Elon Musk just discovered the fossil fuel part?
By the way, what kind of fuel does his private jet(s) make use of? I guess the batteriea on jis Tesla.
Everyone that all of sudden starts playing 'friend the environment' to me has ulterior motives just like Apple ditched chargers in their phone box. It's all a way to make more. I won't be surprised Elon Musk is actually buying more BTC secretly, at a lower price. He's done something similar with his company in the past.

Not necessarily. In some places the air pollution really is terrible. You can go an entire month in Beijing without seeing the sun because the air is so polluted.
Or, to give another example, the ocean is full of plastic junk, and since we eat fish all that plastic ends up in our bodies, too. Modern humans are exposed to a lot of toxins, so it's important we do something about it. It's not just the planet's health, but our own.
Please, put your trash in the trash bin. My ulterior motive is: I don't want to eat sushi with microplastics in it. Thank you.
