Everything that Facebook's dirty hand can reach turns into trash. In this they are somewhat similar to Microsoft. Buy good companies and turn them into something you don't want to use. It is obvious that Mark is obsessed with the idea that both WhatsApp and Instagram are needed only to increase audience and engagement on Facebook and does not consider the interests of these completely self-sufficient services and campaigns at all. That's why both Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger (Instagram founders) left the company. This is the reason why WhatsApp will lose its leading position in the near future. Because the founders of telegram and signal are working on how to make their services and tools better. And WhatsApp is working on how to bring more value to Facebook.

Started a slow move away from WhatsApp. Don't know if it will change anything on the spying apartment, they will still know my porn preference and fetish for electric tools, but don't want to support apps that are only there to spy on me in the disguise of being a trusted messaging app. Funny thing is, people are so accustomed to it that it will be hard to convince some people to change. Guess Oldschool SMS will make a comeback.

I think I know why, Apple is about to kick their ass, they need more data feed so they can be able to analyze people's messages and other things, to know the type of ads to show you, that's the only thing they can do to safe their self, people send more messages on WhatsApp than Facebook, of they can analyze what people discuss, they can know the.ads to show them. I'm just saying, I don't know if that's the case

It is already the case. I get ads from brands on Facebook based on what I discussed privately on Whatsapp without even saying anything about them or interacting with those brands on FB. Not even Google.
They're just making this public with the updates to their privacy policy. It has been existing since facebook took over Whatsapp.
