What's your thought Guest Post Update ?

Hey, Thanks for your personal case study. Actually guest post are brand awesome only. But some fake link builders are develop like us "Blog Network". That's only reason for getting penalty from "Google".

Actually few days ago i saw some guest post sites. Sites are 100% sure they'll are network of sites only. Sites are designed like "Premium Theme - (Guest Post Site). Buyers are buying Fu**king service. Right now I hate guest post.

Here is a case in point- Here is an account I used to work for another company. Their strategy is high quality guest posts on relevant sites with real traffic, has been and as far as I know still is.
External According to majestic they have 2135 backlinks from 193 domains yet they rank for some pretty competitive keywords that are worth a few thousand dollars every time they make a sale. Notice that they keep GROWING in the number of keywords they are ranking for! (according to semrush) they rank in the top 20 for almost 900 keywords and the site is around 2 years old.

If any possible get penalty for your guest post sites. You're going good. But not sure about quality you'll hit penalized from "Google".

Let's take two posts on my blog. The first one is written by me, the second one is written by whoever emailed me to publish his guest post. Both have one link pointing to niche related site.
Tell me - How can Google possibly recognise the first post from the second one?

Maybe I wouldn't scale it so much (aka using spun content, sending it to every site, which accepts guest posts), but there is no way I cut off guest posts and never use them.

I you read the official thread by cutts then guest blogging is not over, they are just proving an alarm.
 
What's so complicated to understand here?

They have a list of "guest posting" sites. You know the ones that have "write for us" "submit your article" etc forms, and publish any piece of shit content you put there.

These site have/will be flagged as spam link farms, and if you have too many of them you'll get hit.

Remember article directories? Yes same thing.

This is not about the practice of guest posting where you contact the blog owner of a legit blog in your niche that has good authority and offer your content in exchange for a link or reference in the post.

Completely different techniques and concepts here.
 
Don't think this point from Newbies and experts also. They need to think...

I think in his recent post (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/guest-blogging/), Matt Cutts was going after the link farms and the guest post spammers. No one is ever going to be penalized for a guest post on Forbes or the Wall Street Journal (or Moz or etc.). Regardless of SEO reasons, there is a still of numbers of good reasons to guest blog within your niche, which include increased traffic to your site by getting a new set of eyes, building relationships within your field, and increasing your authority. This post gets into that debate a bit more. The problem is that many online marketers see guest posting as a link-building technique to replace the comment and forum spam that is no longer effective. They want to automate the process of finding guest post opportunities, create sites full of spammy content that only exists for the links embedded in it, and generate low-cost, low-value junk content that's of no interest to anyone. That's what's in trouble.

If we do guest posts with quality unique content and white hat SEO then no need to get worry about any kinda updates, IMHO.

Guest blogging never lose its respect when it's been done properly. Even matt cutts has guest posts on his own blog. This clearly indicates that guest blogging is a white hat technique and has great impact in SEO. By the way if a guest post update rolled out, it won't affect any quality guest blogs. Only spammy guest blogs will be ripped down in search rankings and get penalised by Google
