what's your success rate?

I am fairly new to seo,targeting "medium- low" competitive keywords -exact product name with 1-5k exact monthly searches having success rate of ~15% (8 websites out of 60 got to first page 20 or so stuck on second,third pages and the rest not even in top 100 ) one strategy applied to all of them (tier 1: ~2k links across ~400 domains, tier 2: ~10k links across ~50 domains ) . Seams quite low to me . would be interested to know, what others results are? am I moving in a right direction or should I drastically reconsider my strategy? The fact that ~50% of my money sites are not even in top 100 kind of bothering me .

I'm having a 100% success rate getting my sites to dance after one month. I'm not really happy with this as I want them dancing in less than 30 days, but yeah.
