Bounce rate across my other sites are similar.

It is quite a simple process though.

Write proper Meta descriptions that accurately reflect the content on the page.

Write good content ( i am a content writer) so when the person lands on the page, they are met with the content they were expecting.

It does surprise me a little with this site though I will be honest, this site isn't exactly super pretty.

FYI the organic users bounce rate is 0.55%

Not in any specific order of importance.

1) Correct Meta descriptions - When someone reads your Meta titles and descriptions then click on it and find exactly what it says they would, why would they leave?

2) Site speed - I optimize my site as often as I can plus use a CDN to make sure my site is loading as fast as it can. You lose a lot of people through slow loading.

3) Server - I am in the UK but for my target country (US) I host on a US server.

4) Good content - If your content is written well, flows well, or grammatically incorrect people will bounce. Especially if you're trying to 'inform' people.

5) Navigation - UX is important. If people cannot navigate your site you won't get many page views.

6) Same rules for Meta descriptions and titles run for social media advertising. Tell the people what they will be seeing and if they are interested they will click and read.

I am writing up another 12 articles to go on another site. Each article is between 3-5k words. Once live I will follow the same methods and see how the bounce rate runs.

Edit - I should also add i have just tried the same method with youtube and got 300 views in four days. Organic.

not covering the whole thing and forcing users to view more pages is what i did in my viral site and i managed to get an average of 10% bounce rate.
