There's tons of SEO methods out there but typically they're for established sites. I was wondering what kinds of SEO methods work well for a brand new site. I don't want to do too much too fast of course but certainly there is something that can be done right? I was curious what steps you guys implement with a new site if any.

Thanks!

It's really no different than an established site. Just stay away from spammy links. Get some quality links built to it and let it age a little and if you want spammy links do it then. Start off with some social bookmarks and private blog network links and you'll be on you're way to ranking. If it's a competitive niche than work on getting some high pr homepage links.

Work in content to establish some trust while your website gets some age, after one or

two weeks start building links slowly and steady. Remeber that Content is and always will

be key.

Make Sure your on-page Optimization is solid, then get a few .edu links indexed and build between 2 to 5 links each day for a month. The second month you an slowly increase the amount of links and by month 3 you'll have a solid foundation and depending on your competition you could easily be on the SERP's first page.

Start writing contents and also done some social bookmarking in quality sites.

The number one strategy for new sites = patience.

Social bookmarks work well... slow, regular backlinking... expect to dance like hell every once in awhile and don't panic when it happens. I find the site can disappear up to 10-14 days at a time.

Building sites as subdomains of high authority sites, also help rankings . Just think of ur subdomain like the son of a great and powerfulman, this child must also be accorded some level of respect.

Please use the on-page seo guide from seomoz.

Also, quality, keyword targeted content articles (make sure each keyword an article on a dedicated subpage)

I like to keep ads off my new sites for 2-3 months if I can, and in that time drip in content on a regular basis. as far as backlinking goes, I like to take it easy. Backlink gently with some commenting, bookmarking etc, but leave the links to be discovered naturally.

I keep track of where all the links are, then after a while, go back and slowly blast those links that are not indexed

Some years I built a couple of hubs, i.e. niche directories and blogs. When I come out with a new site, i publish a link on 2 or 3 of my hubs, add a couple of sociel bookmarks and run 4 or 5 comments. Then I watch what traffic goog starts to send.

Like others have mentioned it is best to start slow and build links and content slowly. It depends on your budget and niche but if your working on the site yourself I would add a 1-2 articles per week at the beginning while working on finding a few quality backlinks a week.

Set scheduled posts everyday.

Blast with 1000 bookmarks. Use main keyword.

Add article on ezarticlelink. Use related keywords.

In one week, I'm on first page :D

On page SEO and white hat blog commenting and a few only wire submits in the first month. Then slowly start increasing your link building as your site is indexed. Please no blasts for me. They never helped. However, if you have another authority site, get a contextual link from it.

there are hell lots of methods out there,, you will find attractive everyone of
these.. my advice to you is to focus on your key words and backlinks are
quite productive as well..good luck :)
