What's your IM goal?

I'm intrigued why people start doing internet marketing, obviously it's to make money but what do you want the money for?
To make a living? Get a new car? Just some spare cash?

It's intrigued me for a while and I thought I'd ask.

For me personally I would eventually like to make a living off it, but for the time being I've dreamed of a holiday to America with a first class airline ticket for quite a few years and that's what I'm aiming for at the moment! Hopefully if I keep taking action my dream holiday will become a reality one day!

When I first started, my goals were just to make a few extra dollars each week to buy the usual stuff a teenager buys after school, and so on.

As the years progressed, I set myself high but achievable targets and the main goal was purely to save the money for the future.

Right now, I'm not saving up for anything in particular.. maybe a car, but on the whole, my goal is to make a steady income of money which can be used in the future wisely when I am short of money :)

My goals are to make steady income from it. Give back to my family. Travel.

Nice thread. The reason why you do things is more important than the how itself.

I also had a dream of going to America. I was born in Germany and spent most of my life there. 2008 I first came to the US for a three months training trip. Since then I was going abroad more often and longer.

I left Germany and my old life for good on 2011/12/31 to live in Los Angeles.
I got married in May to my beautiful wife and now we're living in a nice apartment in North Hollywood.

I'm exactly where I need to be at this moment.

As far as goals in Internet Marketing: I want to increase my income to $100,000 a month by the end of the year.
Why? It's simple. You have to get more to give more!

I am aiming to make $50,000 per month from online marketing by the middle of next year. I think it is easily do-able based on my current strategy and where things are going.
 
My primary goal is to support myself & my daughter. I'd love to send her to the best school and have the money to buy her whatever she needs.
Secondary goal? I'd like to go to college myself for internet marketing and pay for it out-of-pocket. I was a complete stoner in high school so there's no scholarship options. All I did was spend most my time on the internet. I'm only 20 and I had honestly believed I've ruined my chance at a decent life until I discovered IM.
 
For me its about being financially and location independent.

I have worked in an office for a prestigious company in the past and I really didn't enjoy it. I could have been on very good money by now, but would have had to sell my soul to achieve it. I am happy to earn far less as long as I have more time and freedom to persue my passions, so hopefully IM can supplement a modest lifestyle.

Its also my dream to live in different places around the world. If you have a "regular" job you are tied to the location you work in general. With IM I could be in New York, London, a beach in Spain, or even the moon as long as I had an internet connection and a laptop!
 
I think one of the big perks of IM is being able to work from home if you want.. I currently still have a 9 to 5 aside from my private IM activities, but I hope one day I can have a home office and spend time with the wife and kids.

The "location independent lifestyle". For me it was an alternative to normal jobs and the standard Northeastern US conception of "the real world" for the vast majority of people. Go to a college, do internships, graduate, get a job in one of the major cities and then slowly make your way up.

I rejected that, and was trying to make it in an another industry when I discovered IM.

Right now my goal is to be a billionaire in 5 years. That's why I have diversified into several different companies - social media, various types of hardware, manufacturing to try to increase my chances of success.

Yes, that image explains my old life pretty much and how I felt about it. I have saved it to my PC to answer future questions of why I got into IM. :p
