My excuse for my lack of global domination is this dumb website http://www.datasource.net/ that I can't get ranked at the top due to so much competition.
Once I'm on the top of the list for LA consulting I'll be eating golden eggs and goose stew..

I don't really think DataSource will be any real competition for you. (or anyone else) This site has quite a few problems, the least of which is focus. If they are your only real competition then you have it made. Just review some of the suggestions on this site.
I have an Intern I'm training in your area. If you're not able to beat DataSource by May 5th then let me know and I'll put you both in contact with each other and perhaps he can help you get going in the right direction.
The excuse I was looking for in this thread was , "My dog ate my website." 8)

Me too. I spend half the year in a little 1-room cabin out in the woods. I may not have hot running water or a flush toilet, but by god I have DSL and a MacBook, great neighbors and friends, all in a woodland paradise.
Here I relentlessly POUND on the internet, register domains, whip up sites and build backlinks shoving sites onto Page 1 of SERPS with a vengeance. I'm on the way to a cool million. If you ever stumble on a site called frugal-humble-rich-bastard.com <-- that'll be one of mine!
