Whats your best program/method to check your live backlinks?

I am a proper noob, just trying to expand my knowledge, just want to know peoples best ways to check what backlinks have been indexed?

I have been creating + pinging my backlinks for a few weeks, and having difficulty checking out what links have indexed.

I've used scrapebox, though some people claim it has become less accurate at this task due to google updates I guess.

I'd surely get scrapebox if I were you as it's a huge time saver, though avoid making too many comment links straight to your money site.

For indexing and crawling of backlinks I plan on trying Lindexed, which is a service offered by a reputable member on here as it has good reviews and is cheap.

Is there anything software that is more accurate then?

You can try Scrape Box Link Checker, it is a free stand alone program. It can check for multiple urls in multiple sites. It is very fast and works good for checking live backlinks.

I think that their service is pretty reliable/good.

I don't think this works anymore, because it used yahoo site explorer and that no longer exists.

The only answer to OP's question. Other friends got the issue wrong.

scrapebox is the way to go, not 100% accurate but near as damn it.

The sites that Scrapebox finds are just links that are 'Found' doesn't necessarily mean they are indexed right?

as a lot already said....scrapebox is the best and fastest. You can also check if the links are already indexed

Does the free program check if they are indexed? Or the actual main program?

I downloaded a scrapebox link checker and it works pretty good for me.

I'll second that, ahrefs is a solid service, seomoz open site explorer is good too, but is only updated once a month

Actually, if you want a program that can work for days on end for huge lists and go up to 1000 threads, use Xrumer's links database analysis. It kicks ass, botmaster pulled it out of the bag on this one.....again....

This is a stand alone program, it doesn't use yahoo or any other 3rd party services. Check it out, works for me and for others like it seems from this thread.

And lets clear one thing - this is not for checking if the links are indexed, this is for checking if your links are live or not.

So maybe I didn't understand the question of the OP the first time uch: Sorry for the confusion.

For example: if you use a software to blast some sites, you get a report of the links that are made. Then you can put this report with your url in the SB link checker and check the success rate of the software.

If you want to check what links have been indexed I use: backlinkwatch - search it on google

Or you could add your site to google webmaster tools and wait a little time and you will start seeing all links to your site in the webmaster control panel.
