what's wrong with twitter?

just create a new account, and havent do anything when i add the recommend friend who are system default, then my account direct
suspended, dont know why yet

Someone is using the same IP for spamming, you are the victim.

Whenever using a fake email, the result is instantaneous - it says "your email address is inactive" - the first time you look at the profile. They're majorly cracking down. I think they are instantly sending the welcome email to your stated email address on step 1 of the signup form, and if it bounces, the account's toast or at least it's flagged. It's one step short of using the "click this link" email verification that they seem so hesitant to use. I noticed that they are also banning specific email domains, so if you register some for the purposes of this and too many accounts that have email addresses from that domain are suspended, they all go. Twitter just got $100 million in new capital. I think I know what they're spending it on...

This should make you laugh...last night I tried to post a question to the Twitter Development Talk forum at google, just asking what the best practices were (besides obeying their rate limiting messages) for legitimate developers like myself to avoid my "clients" getting banned when doing auto following. The question was actually pretty innocuous the way I wrote it. The group is moderated, so your question first goes to a Twitter employee before being allowed to post to the group. I logged in to check my answer this morning. Not only did they not allow the question to be posted, but they banned the random gmail account I used from the forum.

Ha. Go into the IRC chat . I had to go in there once to ask about a few things, I was so damn worried that they were going to work out what i was doing.
