For the last 4 weeks this forum has gotten progressively unstable / borderline unsable for me.
I click links that load for 10-15 seconds and show a black page.
I click links that load but then they show half a page (spin signal stops) as loaded.
I try to send pms and my entire screen freezes.
The only reason pms get through is cause I save them then try resending 3-4 times.
Navigating this forum is like breaking the davinci code.
For no explanation, certain forums in the sidebar don't open directly.
But then if I navigate through a different route, like clicking "forum" then subforum, it works.
So I'll change my user behavior. Then that stops working, and direct links work. It's crazy.
Too often I'm closing my browser to reopen which sometimes works. It's just slowing down everything I do on here. Oh shit. I just tried to bold the word "everything" and the HTML editor is gone.
This is EXACTLY what I mean. From the marketplace to research to pms to formatting it's made this forum virtually unusable.
Here's something else. When my donor status ran out I told myself, "I'll renew in a few days". The ONLY issue I noticed with a bluename was somedays I couldn't connect to BHW at all. They were brief periods and for the most part everything worked fine. But afterwards, early August I go back to yellow. A week later I went to donate and the window starts seizing. For matters of principle I thought "let's see if this improves". What happened was the opposite. The problems went from happening every few days to now every day I come on here. It seems 1/3 actions I make ends in a freezing / seizing / black / half loaded window.
I don't have any viruses. This is a safe computer. Fast connection. Most of 2014-early 2015 BHW generally worked great. With very few rare exceptions. Now, it's every day all day. The only positive thing I can say is if I close/open or refresh enough times eventually something works.
I'm gonna try to post this thread now and count how many times it takes to win (like a slot machine)...
Error 1 - Had to click "preview post", all formatting was changed to 1 giant block of text. Had to repaste but now the html editor is up.
Error 2 - Came back to editor to fix a typo, edit post function froze.
Edit - Ok, so even though it froze the edit went through. There's gotta be a way to stop this stuff from happening.
