What's wrong with my engagement ?

I have instagram account with 170k real followers.
I started it from 0 followers and never bought any fake followers or something else

I post pics with hashtags according to my niche and getting no more than 1k likes
Daily I'm getting about 500 new followers.

I have seen a lot of times accounts in the same niches with 50k followers and 2-3k likes per photo
Pics quality of that accounts is not better than mine

So what is wrong with my engagement ?

Then it's your bad targeting, bad posts.

Yes i used follow/ unfollow.
According to my niches its almost impossible to use bad targeting) I think you understand why
Also i scrape only active users - users who liked the "same" pics (pics in the same niche) and follow them
 
Just took a quick look, but i think you got alot, and i mean ALOT, fake/bot followers....

Maybe that is the reason
Any ideas how to filter scraped users I'm going to follow from bots ?
 
Try to follow people that interacted on posts of targeted accounts last 5 minutes. And exclude words in username. Like free,like,get,win,free,f4f and stuff like that.
