What's wrong? Why is this website deader than a mackere?

Hello guys, I've faced a problem with a website I should review within the scope of the test task. It's placed on a pretty aged domain (10 years), contains 100+ unique articles, indexed. But have no organic traffic. Almost at all. Can somebody take a quick look and tell what a hell is wrong with it? Why there is no growth over a span of the years?

Well if :
  • the existing articles+backlinks combination are not ranking because they are too shitty/not powerful enough for what is targeted
  • nothing changed for years

...why do you expect any growth ?
 
Can't tell based on just those screens.

Seems like a algorithm penalty. Your site has structural issues, linking structure, too much bad content or something.
 
First of all are you sure about the articles that they are unique? When were they published?
 
That doesn't tell much.

Most likely a penalty.

I've checked a few of them on plagiarism. Start on April 26, 2018, and till now

Can't move on, it's a test task on the new job interviews)

Also, "security and manual actions" in g console are empty
 
It's impossible to analyse this site using the data you provided. One would assume a 10 year old website with hundreds of articles to rank for something.
Has it ever ranked for anything?

PS: if you enter yoursite.com in google... where does your site rank?
 
Feeble amount of insight to predict anything.

That's good to know at least we can scratch that out of the bucket list.
 
Is your website really worth more than a couple of visitors a day? Do your competition have big sites that push a lot of visitors?
 
It surely is penalized. Why not grab a few domains and rewrite the content there making it unique and quality and splitting it unevenly?

yes, there are a lot of "live" competiotion

I can not. It's not a project on my own. I'm just a "candidate middle" and this is the test task at the job interview (to analyze and identify). It's a corporate website. I did tech audit, web analyses, checked meta, density, competition, source code, etc and that's "normal".

The only crucial thing I identified is the bad sitemap.
 
Today, I've seen a list of websites who are open to guestposting under 30-50 dollars with avg. DA of 30-70
And then when i double checked their metrics on semrush, i find out their traffic was once 80-90k but now its 1k-7k only and some were at zero. I mean wtf just happened to those sites.
How bad they got hit!! Chills my bones.
 
Besides a possible penalty, there might be few other issues:

- Targeting way too competitive keywords
- Targeting keywords with no search volume
- Super shit onsite SEO
- Combination of all of these

1. Your website is very likely is NOT penalised.
2. I've had websites without sitemaps and had no problems.

It's just very strange for a site with 100+ posts to get 0 organic traffic.
How long are your posts? How many words/post on average?

Quite right. It's very strange to me.
500-1000 words per post

In example: post Dec 18, 2020, indexed, ~500 words, long tail kw in title and description

Can't beat even those who had no target kw in their meta/body
