I have mixed results and still trying to make sense of it all.

I have one site that is cranking for AUS search but has dropped off the radar on US search (worldwide) It used to be #3 worldwide.

Strange as the local result is still strong.

Another site in another niche has taken a hit but its an authority site. Went from #3 to #7 and still dancing after the dirty lil penguin.

its giving me mixed signals as my authority site is my holy grail... Very good quality links , good content, and a diverse link network.. A competitor has over 10k dirty spammy backlinks and he is out ranking me.. now taken out #2 ...

its just really strange and i cant pinpoint what its now looking for.

What id be keen to know is whats working for you ?

What strategy ? linking strategy ? where are you finding good results ?

Interested to hear what you guys have to say

Well after penguin i made some changes in my strategies and first step which i took that i decrease the quantity of the work.

article marketing robot seems to be still working post panda n penguin for me. even with spun text..just use it in conjunction with other link sources.

I am doing mostly what I was before but dropped a lot of the spammier tools, I rely pretty heavily on my own tools that revolve around either wikis or high authority sites. In my experience the only sites I had that took hits are the ones I just plugged with forum profiles/blog comments/directory submissions - essentially automated low quality links. Otherwise I saw either no change or actually moved up (due to competitors vanishing).

If I had to sum it up I'd say more variety and fewer links of a higher quality. Just my results though, and I'm sure others will go more in depth.

Random SEO services have been working well for me. I use Extrawinner's strategy of being as random as possible and avoiding spammy links. So this means I'll switch between social bookmarking, .edu, wiki links, and article links in a fairly random manner to make my link structure as random and normal as possible.
