i just started ads last week as an affiliate and its working good, big money i can make. all of a sudden i get a message i have to verify it with company documents

is it maybe because i started the ad with just some name i gave my company. im just an affiliate but used some name as my company. if i used the name of the business that im an affiliate with would it still ask me for company documents

the thing even asks you if you are an affiliate, which is fine, but then asks for company documents, it doesnt make sense

It is asking for company documents because when you were setting the billing page, you chose account's type as "organization". In this case, whenever google requires advertiser verification completion it will always ask for company documents AND personal documents. If you chose "individual", it would have asked for personal documents only.

Provide the documents of your own business, if there is one, they will accept it.

There are two verifications, 1st one is easy and simple. Second one is a pain that asks the ins and outs of everything - hard to pass
 
Sounds like the system got a little confused by the name thing! Even as an affiliate, they just want to make sure everything’s legit

well its new to me, its been over a year since i used it. this was a new account, and you choose if youre an Organization, obviously meaning a legitimate business, or just an Individual, obviously affiliate marketers, on your own

i dont remember choosing organization, and if i did why i would have. maybe because i use my own business name because my affiliate program doesnt like you associating with them. but i am not a business

so anyway you have to write to support to change it to indivdual. which i did and everythings fine now
 
It's likely asking for documents because you used a business name, even as an affiliate. If you clarify you're just an affiliate, they might still ask for documents to verify your identity or business. Just provide the required info to keep things smooth.
 
It’s asking for documents because you used a business name, try using your real name instead.
