What's up with Scrapebox?

Does anyone know what's going on with Scrapebox? Their website has been down for a while and so are their servers. I'm unable to connect and run my copies at all.

they got notice, server down due to ddos attacks will be back soon!!
 
I thought only I was having issues. I sure hope they got a backup.
 
yep the scrapbox got DDOs attack day after yesterday its on maintenance mode right now, who told me ? well you can check scrapebox official thread by scrapebox owner who mentioned all this thing
 
I think they should have more servers since now the user base is very big.

They have plenty of servers, its not that the servers are anywhere close to overloaded by the userers, someone is attacking them. If they had 10 more, they would just attack all 10 of those as well.

Its been down since 6pm on the 25th at GMT+10. That equals 31 hours at this point. If there is a DDoS then Sweet can't get to the server either, which means they have to contact the data center and wait for them to fix the issue.

Also, if you try and launch scrapebox, it even comes up now and says that the servers are experiencing a DDoS attack that that they hope to have it back up soon.

Yeah, pingdom shows been down for a couple hours. Seems a competitor is hitting them hard. I know a few other "seo" tools got hit with DDoS during the time sbox did. Dunno, but I guess we will watch and wait.
 
Learnt a lesson out of the last time it happened - always keep my SB instances open... so didn't get caught this time with my pants down like I did the last time...

I had it open and still it wasnt working for me :/

i am not sure what it is but, one of my instances hung the last time and had to reboot the entire system, and when it came online SB was down. This time, one of my instances hung but the rest (including 2 spare) were open and the hung one had to get shut down - the others worked fine. Theoretically, SBs servers are just for verification, but I cant help but wonder.... all i'm saying is that it seems pretty darn coincidental that both episodes had my instances hang... almost never happens, I usually run about 8 instances for days at a time with no issues. Strange....:confused::boink:
