All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally.

FileSonic allows you to upload and retrieve them from any computer.

I don't think this will end soon. It looks like FileSonic have not been arrested but rather protected themselves in light of the MegaUpload scene. I also hear the Uploaded.to it not availiable in the Us any more.


This could turn out to be much bigger than we expected but I expect it won't take long for some kind of retaliation because this has already gone too far.

Yes, it did.
Hotfile died long time ago, rapidshare died a year before hotfile.
Megaupload got fucked now, filesonic pussied out.

When fileserve closes mediafire will follow and we'll all be fucked.
Not to mention DLing links will be a lot harder to find now that people will stop posting them. UGH...

On the other hand I think they are proving that they can attack piracy using tools that they already have in place...

Maybe they know there is so much opposition to these bills they are unlikely to get passed. Though we see similar acts with slightly different names.... Sneeky if you ask me....
 
i hope we are not seeing an online uprising like the arab uprisings that took place in Egypt Tunisia and Libya etc but only the playing field this time is on the internet
 
If they were smart they would exploit this situation to offer video streaming service on demand across the globe.
If not that then at least EU, and Canada.
They'd make a KILLING.

I'd gladly pay 30-50€ monthly fee if it ment I can visit a site, find a series and watch it in HD whenever I want, as many times as I want completely legal.
