I mainly have BHW in mind, but any other platform (like Flippa, I'm open for suggestions) would be interesting too.

Regarding starter sites,

  • How small,
  • How little traffic,
  • How low can the earnings be?

to still stand a decent chance of been sold?

In my opinion, if you don`t sell as brand new it`s at least 3-400.

Usually, the basic websites are earnings x12 / x16 as I remember.

This is the basic one, the prices are different, and also the luck, potentiality of website, design, blah blah.

BUT the best way it`s at least 1k month earnings, or I think like that, otherwise, it`s just flipping without sense.

And when people buy brand new sites, what are their expectations?

if its a brand new starter site you can expect to sell for $60 - $120

this could be something you made this morning and listed in the afternoon - autoblog, seo service site, auto News,
no traffic, no income and what your selling is essentially the dream of a website in a box thats ready to go all they have to do is advertise.

once you sell a certain blog. create the exact same again with new logo and domain and sell again.

if you see a site like this for sale and look back through the sellers previous listings you will see loads of sold listings for essentially the same site.

ive even done this myself. if you sell around the $100-120 mark after the flippa listing and selling fees and domain cost you can make around $60 per site. make 4 of them a day. you build a catalogue of sites for sale and could get to the point where even if you sell 2 a day your profiting $120 per day.

it does get to a point tho where you just turn in to a website creating machine and it sucks the life out of you.

the biggest thing with peoples expectations is the dream your selling, add loads of BIN (buy it now) bonuses to make sure you get $120. loads of ebooks or articles you can buy off seo clerks, fiverr etc and give away with each site.

Ive even offered 12months free hosting on my server and send their own cpanel login details (i have reseller account with hostgator) - this saves you the work of moving it their hosting and they think they are getting another freebie (your also potentially storing up add on sales 12 months down the line when the hosting needs renewing

People still buy starter websites? What i need to put on them? Or i should just go to flippa and see what others are doing. We heave some reputable users here selling starter websites ( amazon niche sites; cpa sites).

have a look at what people are selling here and they will be transferable.

i bought a few cheap sites (look for ones where the listing ended and offer the $50/60 for it. they will normally take it. - then i could see what plugins etc they were using or i would just duplicate the site in to other control panels
