What's the difference between private and SSL proxies?

Currently im using proxymillions private proxies but recently ive noticed that the proxies are a little buggy/laggy and are messing with the following on MP.. does anyone else get this at times?

I was wondering if i should consider getting "dedicated SSL" proxies and whether or not it would make any difference at all!

Dedicated SSL proxies will not make a difference in speed.

Really? do you mind telling me whats the difference between dedicated SSL and private proxies then?

Same difference as with ssl and non ssl websites. SSL means secure socket layer and is responsible for encryption of your connection thus greatly increasing your data security.

Oh.. wow.. thanks so much for the explanation! So it has everything to do with security and nothing to do with speeds of the proxy?
