What's the deal lately?

It seems like half the time I come here I can't get to the site. I get unable to connect and timeout errors so often it's nuts. Sometimes I only have to refresh once sometimes it lasts for minutes or even hours. I can connect with other sites immediately so it's not my browser/internet it's something here. Any suggestions on how this can be fixed because it's annoying as hell to type a response to a post and then have it time out while submitting. Then I try reloading and the post is on there 3-4 times.

I'm also experiencing like that I cant log on at some times.
 
I have too, but I just assumed it was an out-of-country type of thing.
 
I have had this problem i though it was my computer at first until i checked everything else loaded. The downtime recently has been bad.
 
I think they are in the process of adding a server or something, I believe there have been a couple other posts detailing what's up with it

Cheap hosting servers that are out of the country are most likely the problem.I have the same problem for months now. If you want this to change, tell the owner of this site to start using legitimate hosting servers and actually spend the extra $25 a month.
 
well it's good to know it's not just me. hopefully the mods will look into this because it's been at least an hour since I was able to get onto the site.
 
Nope.. you are all experiencing downtime.

If you want to find out if it's you or if bhw is down, just go to downforeveryoneorjustme.com/blackhatworld.com and you will see that they are down on their end as well.

Could be a variety of reasons, spam attack, ddos, backup causing too much i/o. Or they are located at a crappy host provider, and/or their server is crashing all the time.

It does seem BHW will need some TLC to give it some decent uptime.

We have been working the last hour to bring the site back online but there still maybe an occasional hiccup so please bear with us.

Thanks for the response Dave and I'm glad to know it's on your radar. It was bad enough the other day that I wondered if there was a ddos attack going on but it's been going on for at least a week now and there was no post about an attack in progress so I figured that wasn't the problem.

Hopefully it's fixed and running soon because it's a great forum! Thanks for your hard work and that of the mods!
