What's the best way to start?

Serious question for those that are making decent money from this...
I'm just getting started and have one niche site. It's been up and running for only a month and a half or so and I've been adding content and building links to it slowly.

I'm doing this mostly as a hobby for now but would not mind turning it into something full or mostly full time. My plan was to use a snowball approach...get this site up and running and use the funds to start new projects.

Is this snowball way the best approach? Or would I be better off shotgunning out a few different ideas/methods, even if it takes longer for any one of them to see results since my attention will be so divided?

Shot gun, read here and find a few things that work for others, then decide on a few 2 or 3 and see what makes money then run with it!!

Yeah it's tough to say what will work best for you, but it all depends on your skillset. Try a few things out and see what jives well with you. People are making tons of money doing all sorts of different things.

Also, if you know people in real life who do this, learning from them can really help speed up the learning curve no matter what you go into. Go to in-person meetups if at all possible.

The best way to start is firstly try to start from the low level not from the very high which even you can't do. So go ahead and i hope you will be successful.

It also depends if you have any money to invest, or if you're doing it all yourself. Investing a little bit of money can go a long way. But you generally want to know how to do it yourself first so you don't get ripped off or waste your money.

Thanks guys. I've made a whole $3 so far but that's from only two clicks, so the CPC is decent for the keywords I'm targeting...I just need better rankings.

I'm basically doing everything myself at first until I can bootstrap my way up to outsourcing.

I think I'll try to find another idea or two to work on at the same time to try to get the money flowing.
