What's the best time to post shorts?

Like a week ago I wasn't paying attention to post time, but I post one video out of my schedule and got a lot of views compared to my other videos.

Any YouTube shorts guru can enlighten me about post times?

5-8 PM Works the best for me. People come back after work and lie down with their phones

Do not forget that YouTube may take time to index published videos. In my experience, a published video usually takes around 30 minutes to 60 minutes to show up in YouTube searches.
If your Youtube channel already has videos that are active, then got to it's YouTube Analytics section and there, you would be able to find out the time frames when most of your audience uses YouTube and you can then use those time frames as your posting time.
It is better to publish your video 2-3 hours before your desired peak time.
What I usually do is, when I upload a video, I make it as private and then I use https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1270709?hl=en to schedule a private video to go public at a specific time.

Since I'm only posting shorts lately, audience's time frame part is not accurate. It seems like YouTube doesn't send notifications to my subscribers.

YouTube doesn't send notifications to subscribers for every short uploaded, even when the bell notification is activated. YouTube only sends notifications to those people who regularly watch shorts.

Night is good time as people have returned from office and in night they browse internet.

For me at least it's the evening time but you can check your analytics after you have posted a certain number of videos and learn from them at what time you are getting the most views and engagement etc. Hope this helps you.

generally the time after works for everyone, but it depends on your audience. If your audience is students their time is different than working people, or housewives... You should examine your audience and find their prime time.
