What's the best SILO scheme today?

One of the silo's:

* Do you "nofollow" menu links?
* Does random links broke silo structure? (like link word "dog" to all pages containg the same word)?

add nofollow and you'll lose the benefit of link juice flow,
it's one of the best ways to get it passed to most of the inner pages

nope, they'll give more authority to that specific page/category & allow link juice to flow to inner pages,
you can even place X number of top pages in the menu or different menu to get them more authority/juice
