In the past I used Bing Ads but linked directly to the product website with very poor results. I spent 60 dollars and I believe I made at least one sale so I ended up losing 40 dollars. I want to take another look at Bing Ads since Google doesn't allow type of affiliates link promotions.

From what I understand it's best to direct people to a landing page but past that things get muddy. What should the landing page looks like? Is it ok if the page is a review of the product I am trying to sell to pre-sell people? Or should the page just be about getting people to sign up via e-mail and get a free report and nothing else? Or can a hybrid page work where I have a review but also a sign up on the right sidebar of the blog? What really produces the most sales at the end of the day?

And for example lets say the product is the acne ebook acne no more should I only use keywords that have the product name for best results like:

    acne no more review
    acne no more scam
    acne no more book

Or whatever else the google keyword tool tells me people are using to search for this product. Or should it be more general? I think the right answer would be using the product name since it's going to a review of it but who knows. Any information would be great.

A landing page should contain a CTA above the fold and should appeal to your target demographic. Since Bing's demographic mostly consists of older people in the 45+ age range, you may want to consider promoting a product that targets older people.

The best advice I can give you here is to test. Do A/B split testing with ads, test different landing page designs, move elements around the page, and find out what converts the best.

    Here's my advice:

Build a landing page which is designed just to collect an email in exchange for a "free report" or ebook of somekind.

Rebrand the report/ebook so your aff link is in that, instead of being actually on your page. This soft-sell approach works much better than a review site, plus you will be building an email list too.

You can if you want to, just don't create an annoying CTA (e.g., You need to buy this NOW) that will deter people away from the link rather than attract them.

I believe the posters above have answered your question well; I just wanted to clarify that you are incorrect in saying that adwords does not allow the promotion of clickbank offers.

Adwords does not allow direct linking, but they are ok with promoting affiliate offers IF you link to a content-rich page that has useful information on it. A bare squeeze page (containing just an opt in) will not do for adwords. You do need to have useful information on page.

Do you write this free ebook/material yourself? Or use the one that the CB product (free copy or something related) offers?

Most serious vendors will have a rebrandable report/pdf in their affiliates centre.

I've been making about $100 a month promoting two clcikbank products on Pinterest with only around 3000 followers. Pretty much set it and forget it to.

Remember to split test different pages.

    Checkout Google experiments.

It's built into Google analytics and is great for split testing landing pages.
