What's the Best LMS to Create an eLearning Course?

What would be the best way to create an eLearning Course? I thought about making it from scratch until I found out there are LMS that I could use. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've heard that Moodle is quite good and has an active amount of developers you can hire if you can't develop.

Never worked with eLearning before though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I need to make a course for irrigation training, so I'm not sure if Moodle will be the best choice but I'll look into it more.

I agree with Xyz01, I had worked with Moodle before and is pretty good for an open source solution. Support forums are quite active and you will probably find answers to most of your questions in there.
