After some great advice from you guys at BHW, I have started to collect my subs/visitors email addresses. So far so good.

I'd like to hear your opinions on what's the best autoresponder to sign up to. I keep hearing that GetResponse is the way to go, but I just want to check with you guys before I take the next step in what will be my first foray into email marketing.

Thanks in advance for your time,

James :)

Getresponse and Aweber. Used Aweber for years until they discontinued Paypal payments, now I'm on getresponse. So far so good, but do miss Aweber somewhat to be honest

As for me I'm using GetResponse for almost 2 years, and I think it's a good one. It very simple in use and also reliable.
And also there is good automatition tools. So I would like to recommend you Getresponse :)

Thanks guys :) Seems as though GetResponse is the way to go.

You take no risk with getresponse, very useful and it makes very well the job. You can alsol find user friendly and powerful alternatives like Mailchimp, Aweber, etc.

Check out TEARcloud. They never charge for list size so it's great for IM people that have tons of leads
Mailchimp gets expensive fast and I've heard of GetResponse banning people fairly easy.

They should pay you if they already aren't. Can't get better word of mouth marketing than that.

I know some best autoresponder
1.AWeber Communications
2.iContact
3.GetResponse
4.Benchmark Email

Juts made a thread about it, let me ask here as well. Has anyone got into trouble using getresponse with non-compliant emails? They make you accept spam laws during registration.

I've used GetResponse, and they are pretty good. You will need a good autoresponder that can send the email out without getting blocked constantly due to the amount of email that their email server sends daily. Some autoresponder has their email server IP blacklisted, and whenever their server sends email out, it either goes straight into the junk mail, or worst, the email server may block incoming email from the autoresponder emailing server.

There are so many autoresponders but Aweber and Mailchimp are one of the best and most using autoresponders.

I also recommend these options of autoresponders Aweber, GetResponse, MailChimp. And agree with my fellow mates that GetResponse is better option.

Great question @James2!

This is also the same question I'd love to ask. Here, I am trying to make a summary of the answers:

GetResponse -> banning people easily
Mailchimp -> get expensive fast
Aweber -> good feature
Tearcloud -> tons of list
mailjet -> cheaper
