What's one social media metric you completely ignore now?

Some numbers look impressive but don't really translate into business results or meaningful growth.

Follower count. I have seen accounts with huge followings generate almost no business, while much smaller accounts with the right audience bring consistent leads

Follower count. It only matters after the right people are following; comments, saves, and DMs tell you a lot more.

Total follower count. These days it doesn't indicate that your post would do well. Also, overall view count in some cases especially if they're coming from undesirable countries.

I pay less attention to likes because they only show that people noticed the post or not but they do not always lead to clicks, leads or sales.
I focus more on engagement and conversation.

Likes and follower were the first two measurement I stopped caring about. It is often more valuable to have an audience that saves and engage with your content than just having large vanity number.

Definitely follower count since it's a vanity metric mostly. If you create and post high quality content in any social media you're bound to get views anyway.

That depends on what platform you're working on. For example if you're advertising a product on FB and there are a lot of 'angry' or 'haha' reactions that would throw people off who were considering purchasing your product.

Again, for a company looking to hire an influencer they can only look at number of followers and engagement rate. So I wouldn't say total follower count is totally irrelevant, although in most cases they don't end up in sales. But for bigger companies branding and brand recall is more important, so they just want their brand to be visible to a large audience.

I think followers and likes are kinda uselles metrics more recently because anyone can buy or manipulate those metrics . Try to check the comments and if you post a link how many peoples check the specific link that will tell if the followers have interest

Follower count alone is one metric I pay much less attention to now I would rather see steady engagement quality traffic and conversions because those usually have a much bigger impact on long term growth

I mostly ignore vanity metrics like likes these days they are nice to see but they dont always reflect real value
i pay much more attention to engagement and meaningful interactions because they give a better idea of whether the content is actually connecting with people
