Coming from Data Science with good grasp of statistics. I’ve devoted all my life to SEO over years understanding all it takes, putting to work - making banks.

The problem ?

Waking up go find out your website is down and lost total traffic. If you’re not investing wise while banking you find yourself in a repetitive circle of feeding the beast which are highly dominated by authority pages .

The so question ?

What skill would you pick closely inline with your well renowned SEO knowledge - Hired PHP guy build out SAAS product relating to IG bio profiling.

Considering giving it free to BHW members.

BHW has the Digital Marketing AI section but not so active.

So really the problem in this situation isn't SEO, it's creating a "business" that relies on one marketing channel too heavily.

On topic: the ability to create websites will always be a skill that goes hand-in-hand with creating a business. Actually, any skill related to starting/owning/operating a business would be good to have.
 
Actually, the only problem is the approach. You need to focus on recurring users instead of random rankings, sadly, most people follow trends, when Amazon affiliates were in trend, everyone was doing that. You can know any skill, if you don't know to retain the users, will be in vain.
 
if you are from statistics bg why not try trading?

Every product needs right type of audience,maybe try selling your product on cb.
 
No need that high level background to do SEO/website shits, nowadays, SEO is all but about money, nothing else, or you get pennies, sad truth.

With that level of tech background, I suggest you invest more times in entrepreneurship, indie hacker, open sources, passive side projects, SaaS, business, AI/Deeplearning project etc, which if you are lucky, only 1 successful thing can get you enough money to retire.

Check indiehacker, product hunt etc, places to get more ideas.
 
Not sure what Google AI, robot , those Real human behind programming their bot think etc.
 
Well, programming and SEO can be a good combination. You can sell shovels and don't dig for finding nuggets.
 
Just be a focus on your statistics and keep update it according to the trend change. That will help for your great success
 
After Seo. You need to make concrete plan, to have recurring traffic. So your site is not dependent on search engine. One of example is this forum.
 
I often feel like top notch giants ranking for almost all related terms should be paying back Google. They do not get tangled in competition (Nor algo updates)

Diversification is the only means for survival.
