What's Keyword Stuffing?

I'm trying to figure out what keyword stuffing means, and how to avoid it, as I understand Google's Penguin update doesnt like it.

For a simpler question, does putting 800 keywords in the keywords field at All-In-One SEO wordpress plugin hurt the site?

Its trying to add your keyword on your page additional times unnaturally to increase serps.

Just keep it at 1-1.5% nowadays.

And don't keyword stuff your meta's in All-In-One. Keep that at 4 to 7.

Keyword stuffing is when you stuff keyword upon keyword upon keyword upon keyword. You feel its time to stop, but you keep stuffing and stuffing and stuffing and stuffing. Sometimes you stuff keywords and other times you keyword stuffing. You understand that you can use other keywords, but you deliberately stuff the same keywords over and over. You stuff the header with keywords, stuff keywords on footer, your content is full of stuffed keywords, and even your links are http://www.keywordstuffed.com/.

When Google comes to visit your keyword stuffed site, it notices that your keyword stuffing is full of relevant keywords. That places you on the top for 'keyword stuffing' keyword, because Google sucks when it comes to recognizing a well designed keyword stuffing. As an example you can use that keyword stuffed post that gonna hit the 1st page for keyword stuffing soon.

I wouldn't even worry about percentages. Just write articles (without caring either way how many times your keywords are used). That way some are a little above average, some are a little above average, some are right around normal, and that'll look and be more natural than a site where every single post has exactly between 1-1.5% keyword density.

Excessive use of one or few keywords. Actually don't worry about percentage and worry about article quality.

Ideally you worry about quality, but since our article topics will always be targeting keywords for SEO, writing naturally often gives you articles with 2%+ density without realizing it.

Once you know what approx. 1-1.5% looks like, you can write more naturally.

Also avoid using a keyword that lacks a natural occurrence of LSI or secondary keywords. If your niche term is the Hunger Games but you write a long article that only mentions that keyword alot, but never mentions Suzanne Collins, tributes, Katniss, or other characters or key terms related to the book or movie, it will read like a spammy article.

Keyword stuffing is what The Great God Google says you can't do any more! IMing is going to get tougher and tougher as G wants it all and I mean all of it. Every dime, shekel, farthing, pound, ruble, drachma and thrupenny bit it can get its evil hands on! The "updates" are no more about enhancing user experience than the Man-In-The-Moon! They are all about whipping the Internet into lock-step with G's moneymaking plans to keep G and its Minions on top by controlling search results.
