Americans are taking total anesthetic for tooth removal ? Lol, we are only getting some small anesthetic in gums and then take out the tooth :D.

That is not common. Usually only get total anesthetic when you get your wisdom teeth removed, although I didn't. I was wide awake for the surgical removal of all four of mine. Wish I would have been asleep though. :)
