Besides talking about it, I haven't done anything really IM related in a few years and I'm wondering what's hot now a days?

People used to be addicted to e-whoring/CSing but the internet changes and the game changes so now I'm curious, what are people really hot into now a days? Still trying to figure out what to do for some quick cash (Don't care if it's non-residual).

Most people are running now for the residual income from adsense sites,but that's not really a quick buck.

CPA is hot aswell,but using wh traffic and not faking leads...that's dead.

Also,you should take a look at pay per call marketing,preatty interesting stuff.
 
There is a lot of buzz going around about local marketing and seo and helping business owners in your town/city jump start their local marketing campaigns with Google Places and marketing to local audiences online.

No doubt that this will pay off for a business as well as you.

To me - this seems like a pretty quick residual income. Get businesses to sign contracts. Re-design their website, do the SEO work, build backlinks and get them to understand that they need you to bring in customers.

From there.. offer them other services.
 
content locking + CPA seems to be pretty popular right now.

Content lockers are great. The level of want vs. need in people grossly weighs towards want, imo. Offer them something that they can't live without(ebook, etc) and you're golden($$$).

making people fill out an offer or do something else you want in order to get access to some content.

like making someone enter their email to get to download a file or something.

Wait, how does content locker work with cpa? Are you guys talking about cpa lead or using content locker to access your campaign link?

You should'n be focusing on what's hot now, rather on what will be hot
tomorrow. This is when you win big...

buy low, sell high

i.e. buy something on fiverr for $5 or even better, buy multiple services on fiverr, pack them into one service and sell it on other places for 2-3x price

to OP: social networking is still hot (FB, twitter, YT), FB PPC advertising, fiverr
and here's the newcomer Google Plus, not too much info about how to use it for business purposes as of now, but i'm sure, there'll be in a few months

and CL became that hot, we aren't allowed to talk about it in public anymore...

This guy got it right. You do not want to sit at your computer whole life, do you? Concentrate on things that will be hot tomorrow but also 5 years from now.

Do hard work once, bank consistently and forever. That's the motto of successful people.
 
The weather is hot. besides that, CPA is my bet ;)
