Whats happend to ultimate demon

So I was looking into my next software purchase and was considering ultimate demon so I went to their site and the buy now has gone and it states that it will no longer be supported from 31st of october.
luckily I didn't buy it the other week.
so my question is social backlinks pointless now or not.
and if they are still good whats the best software.

Edwin's softwares were the creators of bookmarking demon, ultimate demon, and others. They did mention that they are discontinuing due to poor returns... they were 'in the red' and have been losing money due to hiring programmers and maintaining the softwares. So they decided to just discontinue for once and for all. Sad to say, their softwares weren't that good anyways.

I would say go with GSA Search Engine Ranker. Continuous updates and the programmer is pretty dedicated to his creation.

Hello, Thanks for the reply, that's an understandable reason to close.
I have GSA SER so will have to look into social bookmarking with it.

I have purchased UD onetime payment about a year ago and never put it to use until this week when i'm finally planning to start my SEO journey, Just to realize that they're stopping the software by the end of October. SeNuke would have been a better option even though it's kinda pricey.

Bought the ontime payment full license years back for i believe $350 used it once, tried to resell it to a user on this forum, got scammed and never received the money after he took the license actually....how late is too late to start a shitlist thread, can i shitlist for a getting scammed three years ago? lol

has anyone tried social robot as an alternative only $67 dollars.
@conanbmd that sucks I was very nearly in the same position as you I was going to buy it last week and had something else come up.
@Vladamir that's the only issue with selling things over forums.

are you kidding? anything>senuke. with gsa you can do some crazy things if you mix couple methods

why social bookmarks? rankerx creates links of any kind from "chosen" set of sites but its pricey

gsa creates any kind of links. but im not sure what you want to achieve by using social bookmarks. the only different thing on such sites is site engine = site structure/code. i value contextual engines in gsa mostly, such as Articles

I definitely agree, I have a feeling all these tools should only be used for 2nd,3rd tiers nowadays, because most likely you'll only rank your site for a month or so then have it penalized, long go are the old days... White/Grey Hat SEO is a better aim for now.

If you have a good budget, i would definitely advise starting a PBN for your first tiers then the social bookmarks as well as other options in GSA for your 2nd and 3rd tiers. PBNs are the only powerful techniques left that are still effective if you play your cards right.
