The last few day's has seen a serious decrease in the amount of logged on users, what has happened?

It doesn't seem to matter what time of day but there seems to be a lot less people around recently.

I think, this is because BHW is inaccessible in Most of the Countries. I'm using proxy.

I've had 2 people I PM with on this forum contact me by email saying they are getting forbidden 403 page when trying to access this site now

there was an attempt at a DDOS attack (I believe) and a lot of IP ranges have been blocked, which include a lot of members IPs.

from BHW facebook

"Due to a lot of unnaturally high traffic coming from specific regions we've had to take the hard decision to close access to specific IP ranges - whilst 90% of our users are unaffected we are working on getting the other 10% back online ASAP."

and just a few minutes ago it seemed like there was another attempt.

that explains 29k viewing bhw and 200 logged in
other than getting the odd time out lagg seems mostly ok
here in the uk

For last 18 hours I got forbidden.

Also now is working so slow ... sometimes get page time out ...

I just got that 403 error too but kept refreshing the page and got on. Must be this error causing the decreased numbers.

This is what's going on, this page keeps coming up every now and again instead of BHW's homepage, it's took me 3 attempts to post this, as every time I try and post something, the page just freezes, here's the page that keeps coming up:

I am getting the same thing when I visit the homepage. The only way I could access the forum was to go to a thread I had bookmarked previously. I am in the US.

Had this problem yesterday on my home wireless, I'm using the universities wifi now and am able to get on the site. Hopefully when I get home today I will be able to get on BHW.
