whats up guys im basically a NOOB when it comes to this SEO stuff.. ive read so much on the forum and i guess i tried and failed at taking action haha, well basically im trying to rank locally for a construction business im doing. ive bought a couple SEO gigs which im going to list below. now at one point i was ranking(not high but in the top 100) for about 6 keywords until i say around 3 days ago, then all of sudden my keywords i was ranking for just dropped off the top 100 all together out of the 6 keywords i was ranking for only two remain..can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what im doing wrong? id really appreciate it. thank you!!!

Here are the gigs i bought:

1.http://fiverr.com/crorkservice/create-75-pr3-to-pr8-linkwheel-and-2000-social-bookmarks

2.http://fiverr.com/best_seo/create-1...u-a-detailed-report-better-than-senuke-x-gigs

3.http://fiverr.com/robinh84/get-you-...n-likes-and-10-delicious-saves-on-your-wepage

4.http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-0-posts-huge-keyword-diversity-only-5-a.html
(bought the pro package)

the first 3 services i bought in the beginning of november and the last i bought maybe a week ago.

hope someone could help me out.. thanks!

[h=1]I will run Senuke xCR to create Google Friendly Backlinks[/h]oh good he was using the google friendly version of senuke !
rankings can bounce up and down for a while when you starting seo on a site. But you dont need to be pointing these links direct to your site. Fiverr and any mass linking service should be pointed at a second tier.

what change did you notice in your rankings when you bought the fiverr gigs last month?

after the fiverr gigs i started ranking in the top 100 for the 6 keywords. but about 3 days ago they starting falling off..

Local rankings have a lot to do with citations from the review sites like city search, yahoo local, merchant circle, and Google plus local, Yelp , and incoming links for local businesses.

i see i have around 100 citations done and bout 30 maps pointed to my local biz address but i thought that only affects the G+ Local page?

Hi MrWiggles,

It seems like your backlink building strategy so far seems to be quantity over quality. It is my belief that Google only really cares about quality. If you focus more on the quality of your backlinks I think you will start to see the results you are expecting. As good as the services you posted may be they do not really satisfy Google's thirst for high quality, natural content. Also do not expected to be ranked that well with a $20 SEO budget. There are people that could be spending a 100x that for the keywords you are targeting giving you no shot of competing when it comes to Google rankings. What are the keywords you are targeting? What is your business model?

It helps both if you have a link back to your business site, make sure to get some backlinks to those citations to make sure G picks them up.

i understand that 20 dollars of SEO will have me ranking in the top 10 of the keywords im competing for.. this is just a start as i said im completely new to this SEO stuff but im pretty much confident that down the line i will be ranking very well for the keywords im after with the help of BHW :)

here is a list of keywords im looking to rank for:

painting in new jersey
painting in nj
interior painting in nj
interior painting in new jersey
hardwood floor refinishing in new jersey
sheetrock installation in nj
home improvement in nj

exterior painting in nj

It helps both if you have a link back to your business site, make sure to get some backlinks to those citations to make sure G picks them up.

i see thanks i will build some backlinks to all my citations!!

Yea, it may just be a google dance. I've noticed the same thing happening with some of my sites. Best bet is to just keep building citations and links at a steady rate. And do focus on quality over quantity. I've never heard of anyone ranking solely off a couple gigs from the BST section. Another factor might be your domains age. If you've got a brand new domain, I'd really suggest starting out with a small quantity of REALLY high quality backlinks. Once you've got a solid backlink profile (with diversified anchors) you can start focusing on some more quantity/volume links.

i see, and yes the domain is fairly new i bought it in July of this year.. is there any services you can point me to that i can buy for some really high quality backlinks? thanks a lot!

Build some web 2.0s to point towards your site there are lists of them all over the bhw archives but I usually start with wordpress.com./tumblr and bravesites
just register up a blog in your site or keyword term EG: coloradoconstruction.wordpress.com

try and put some some effort into them. Post some fresh content and photos or a video if you can and then drop a link or two but not much more to your actual site.

when you have a good looking web 2.0 you can send mass blasts to it which is pointing to your site. If the web 2.0 ever got penalized then you just switch off the link. This way you are keeping your main site safe.

thanks for explaining it for me! i will search the site for some web 2.0s and start doing this immediately thanks again for all the help!!

No worries.

If you were asking me the best place to spend your next $20 I would say either learn about it yourself or pay someone to look at and optimise your on page seo. This is the foundation that you build on and if its not correct you will always struggle.

You have blasted and therefore caused google to perform a rank transition delay or an extreme transition delay (et al. Scritty 2012)

You need to keep adding links or else google with know you are gaming the system. That why ranks generally drop out of the sky. Also there has been a recent overcast as measured by mozcast which will also be a contributing factor to why you have dropped off the face of the earth. The mozcast will begin to get sunny over the weekend so you might see some recovery after this period. Add high pr links such as wordpress blogger blogs and tumblr blogs to soften the blow of these dances.

I am going against the flow here, but local isn't IM, and you have probably killed the site by now. More backlinks are NOT going to help.
Local companies do not get links from all over the world, they do not get 50 facebook likes in one day. they do not build tier two properties and put spun content on them, and they do not build link wheels.

You have done more harm than good, the problem with your not ranking after the citations tells me that your on-page SEO is off. Instead of fixing it, you started spamming links. Now you have a lot of links that a local business would never have in your link portfolio, Google sees that you are trying to affect rankings, and the site is being punished, AND your onpage seo is still off too, I bet.

Local business SEO is a different beast altogether, it is not an affiliate site. IMO you have taken this business, and shot it in the head.

You would have done far better with a simple press release.

You better start thinking of how to explain this to your customer, I doubt your rankings will return.

crorkservice gigs are good. Actually they are excellent. But you have to keep up the momentum after you rank, especially if you are trying to rank for competitive keywords. Otherwise you will drop back out again.

Key is quality. Brother pm me I will show you how I rank top 5 consistently.
