Lately I’ve been reading a lot of mixed stuff about how link building is performing in 2025. Some people say Google’s gotten too smart for most of the old tactics, while others still swear by PBNs, niche edits, and even simple guest posts.
It’s kinda confusing because I’ve seen a few cases where low-quality links still pushed sites up, and others where clean white-hat links didn’t move the needle at all. Seems like the rules keep changing every few months.
Curious what’s been working for you guys lately — are backlinks still the main driver, or is Google shifting more toward on-page + branding signals now?
