I use Tweetdeck.. It's friendly dashboard.
Monetizing twitter works only if you have real active followers, no bots/ fake accounts to make it look like you have a lot of followers. I see that so many times, accounts with like a gazillion followers but no activity, no re-tweets and no favorites. Work on building getting real active followers.
Then monetize it by using affiliate links, or get paid for tweeting certains tweets. Use mylikes for a few dollars a day once you get the hang of it. Promote your own product if you have it.
