Both! Higher pr backlinks are better obviously and also anchor text is important if you know what terms your targeting.

Also depends on what techniques you have at your disposal and on your budget.

If you want to promote backlink you should use use anchor text.

Thousands = 5k?
A few = 3?

Obviously the first will do more for you. That being said you should do BOTH. Get as many links as you can and be as diverse as you can.

lol, actually all the traffic i get is from users clickin the anchor on my backlinks that's why i asked... i get about 500+ clicks per day to my different anchors so i was wondering if i should just keep doing what's working for me(manually backlinking) or should i do what most ppl talk about and spam thousands of backlinks which more than likely wont get clicked on.......

Most ppl click my links because the posts i make are on sites relevant to the nature of the sites it's posted on. It's what most people want. The link i provide or what ppl assume is the link is of a very popular website which is known to provide the content in question so most ppl dont think twice to click it... also that same website i used as my anchor is the keyword im targetting.

so far i'm ranking on page 2 of google for 3 dfferent keywords which should get about 30k-1.5million exact uniques monthly and every week or so my serp increases. When i check my log i noticed my keywords are being showed compare to a month ago when i didnt know much about seo.

Ive done alot of reading on seo and learned alot but there's still some learning to do.. I pretty much have the basics down and applied it with success so far.


Question: if i had my anchor text on a google site blog would i get the pr juice from google???

Hmm at the end of the day if it's working for you keep doing it!! And if your actually getting traffic from this method keep going!! All I would say is start taking notice of pr wherever you post these links because there is another side to all this apart from just direct traffic - keep note of your SERPS, use keywords in your anchor text, keep track of links, pr and associated SERPS and see if you can strategically move yourself up the SERPS for certain keywords/phrases.

you right, i always pay attention to the pr, right now im linking on sites from p3-p6 while my 4 month old site is only pr0. i had a pr7 site but they removed my content, ill put it back up within a few days with a minor twist. Everyday i aim to find high pr sites which will allow me to drop my anchor. I also keep an eye on my serp and so far it looks like its done dancing and settling down, however, its advancing slowly but maturely crawling to page 1..... since the increase in serps i noticed various hits from different search engines revolving variation of my keywords. Im also getting results from google itself.

when i 1st started seo i kinda wasted my time droppin links on no follow sites, but within the last month ive sharpened my skills which helped alot.
