So I looked up the whois information on a domain I want to buy and contacted the owner, he said that he's will to sell the domain to me. I just sent him my offer but I'm wondering what's a safe way to do this? The domain is registered on GoDaddy and so I can have him push it to my account but should I use paypal?

I mean, if I don't receive the domain I can file a dispute within 30 days but is that a good, foolproof method?

Escrow.com is the way to go, especially if there's a significant amount of $ involved. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm familiar with escrow but have never used them, I'll give them another look.

When I purchased a domain directly from the owner, I sent him a money order. Luckily he followed through on the sale, but I know later that was an unwise method of payment. I think PayPal would be risky as well, so I second something like escrow.com.
