What’s a Random Skill You Picked Up From Working Online?

Not talking about the obvious stuff like SEO or running ads.

I mean those random skills you didn’t expect to learn—like spotting scammy landing pages instantly, writing clean code just to fix one plugin, or getting weirdly good at Google Sheets.

The kind of things you picked up just by being deep in the game.

Curious to hear what others have picked up along the way. What’s yours?

Aight so here’s one I didn’t expect at all:

Got crazy good at spotting when a site’s running cloaking scripts or fake GTM setups just from viewing source or dev tools.
Didn’t plan to go down that rabbit hole, but when you’re deep into building Google-compliant whitepages at scale, you start seeing every little “off” thing.
Now I can sniff out dodgy LPs or sneaky redirects like a damn bloodhound.

Also… weirdly decent with regex now. Never meant to learn it, just kept needing it to bulk edit metas and scripts in hundreds of html files.

Not flashy stuff, but def some “stealth” skills that came unexpectedly
