For example downloading a torrent without seeding and helping the network. Or showing in front of camera just to mention your social media so people can follow you

This literally does happen. Or 'do you want a drink?' they take you to the bar, put the order in, and then look at you expectantly...

Most often leech been used when you're in a forum and all you do is picking original content and getting it posted to your website.

Leech is general sense is a way of taking without giving back.

Oh I know loads of people the same. Absolutely no shame at all.

People who ring and say do you want to go out for a drink, then rock up with no money.
