What's a Good Proxy Set-Up? Please Contribute...

I want a proxy setup and I have read through much information and guides on this forum. Below is what I have gathered and how I think I should set out about doing this. Please read what I am thinking of doing and notify me of the best options, what I am doing right or doing wrong. Please also share your proxy setup, what software and lists you use if you wish, so I can get some ideas.

Before I start I have set up multiple firefox profiles - work, play, and blackhat. I am going to use the blackhat profile to use blackhat methods and run the proxies etc. Im hoping using a seperate profile for this should stop IP leakage.

Proxy Setup 1:

1) Use the free edition of 'Elite Proxy Switcher'
2) Use 'Charon' to check the proxies
3) Use 'Elite Proxy Switcher' firefox extension for easy use and rotation of proxies.

Proxy Setup 2:

1) Use 'Proxy Firewall' (I heard this software works for web, and software)
2) Use 'Charon' to check the proxies or does 'Proxy Firewall' have this feature?

Proxy Setup 3:

1) Use 'Tor'
2) Use 'Vidalia' for GUI
3) Use Firefox 'Torbutton' extension for easy use, rotate, turn on and off


These are the three setups that I believe would work for hiding/changing my IP and information and allow me to browse and use programs and web services anonymously.

This is what I need the proxy setup to allow me to do:

1) Create Gmail and Yahoo accounts anonymously and also using Email account creation software to do this.
2) Create accounts on sites such as Blogger and Freewebs anonymously.
3) Create accounts on Social Networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Faceparty anonymously
4) Post Ads on sites like Gumtree, Craigslist anonymously and also using Posting software to do this.
5) Upload, Download, and Create Accounts on Torrent Sites, and also use P2P Software anonymously.
6) Sign-up and use Instant Messenger Software anonymously.
7) Sign-up, and use sites like Yahoo Answers
8) Sign-up, upload, view, vote on Youtube anonymously

You get the drift? Basically browse websites, use web services, and use software anonymously. Would any of the setup's suggested allow me to do this. How good are the setups suggested. Am I missing anything?

Also I need proxies/lists to make it look like I am from Canada, US, and UK. Any Suggestions?

they all sound ok, the TOR is the slowest but the others require more working finding proxies.

I to am looking into proxys. However I run vista ultimate x64 version and would like something that will not only re-reoute my web traffic, but also my software outbound connections...any ideas?

You could use SOCKS proxies for software with outbound connections. The software would have to be able to support proxies though so you need to check on that first.

From researching I have heard a lot of good things fom using Proxy Firewall for outbound software connections and it uses SOCKS proxies, so thats your best bet. There is a lot of useful information of this from apekillape, just use a search.

Im pretty sure Im going to use a combination of two, my setup 1 for my webbased traffic and then use my 2nd setup when using any outbound software.

yeh check apes tutorial, although its a fuggin bitch trying to find decent proxy lists.

Ive found the best places for proxy lists are:

1) This forum - just check the proxylists threads in the proxy subforum

2) Check digitalcybersoft.com/ProxyList/fresh-proxy-list.shtml

3) Check proxy4free.com/page1.html

4) Check proxy4free.com/page1.html

The best thing to do to check that the proxies are any good is to use Charon. Load the proxies into it and then run. The program will check them and get rid of the crap, dead ones and leave you with a good list.

This is the best way I know of doing it without paying.

I use Proxyfirewall extensively, it works fine, but because it doesn't "know" when you are posting, it cannot change IP's "per post" it can only change IP's on a timed basis. Also, none of your systems will work with Yah00 An*swers, it simply doesn't accept public proxies - either for account creation or for posting.

Anything that works on vista, proxy firewall doesnt work..

would anyone be against me posting fresh proxies on this site, every day?

buyacircle - you can do that, Start your own thread in the Proxies forum - Proxy Lists sub forum. Then just edit the post everyday to update it.
